Ullna GC

Designed by Mr Sven Tumba a swedish sports icon and golf pioneer, was established in 1981. HRH Prince Bertil officially inaugurated the golf course on August 27, 1981. It is a private golf club with 574 members located on the banks of Lake Ullna about 15 minutes north of Stockholm´s City Center.

The club adheres to the PGA rules of etiquette, with strict enforcement of  PGA´s dress code, i.e no jeans, no t-shirts. Furthermore the maximum allowed handicap per flight is 72 and max handicap per person is 24,0 for men and 30,0 for women to guarantee that the round never takes more than 4 hours. Proof of handicap must be produced upon request.

Ullna Golf Club is a championship course hugging the shores of Lake Ullna. The lake and its streams comes into play on almost every hole. We are proud to have hosted numerous professional and amateur tournaments over the last decades and the course is consistently ranked top-25 in Continental Europe.

The Scandinavian Enterprise Open on the European Tour was played at Ullna GC 1983-1987, World Amateur Eisenhower Trophy 1988, SAS Invitational with Tiger Woods as Captain of the International Team was played 1998-2001, HP Open on the Ladies European Tour with winner Annika Sorenstam in 2004.

Golf legends such as Severiano Ballesteros, Annika Sörenstam, Johnny Miller, Craig Stadler, Tiger Woods, Lee Trevino, Bernhard Langer, Nick Faldo, Ian Woosnam, Colin Montgomerie, Sergio Garcia, and Masters Champion Trevor Immelman have all played tournaments at Ullna Golf Club. Our members and guests are quite used to seeing our heros from Ryder Cup, Jesper Parnevik and Per-Ulrik Johansson, and the Captain of the European Solheim Cup Team, Helen Alfredsson, practising and playing at the club during the summer.

Ullna GC is a beautiful and scenic golfcourse to play. We take pride in offering a professional welcome to members and guests and to present the best of conditions regarding greens and fairways. The only thing we cannot guarantee is the weather and Your scores….

Our Restaurant is ranked number one in Sweden according to Golf Digest. Our chef Mr Göran Friberg has previously worked in Guide Rouge/Guide Michelin rated restaurants and our bartender Mr Per Zetterman was recently awarded “best bartender” in Sweden.

In 2005 our greenkeeper Magnus Adén was awarded “Best Greenkeeper in Sweden” by the Swedish Golf Federation. Mr Adén and our maintenance staff insures our members and guests the best possible playing conditions and green surfaces throughout the season.

Though Ullna GC is a private club, we accept greenfee play and corporate events. The greenfee ranges between SEK750-1950 per player. Buggies are SEK400. Strollers are not allowed on the course, also dogs are not allowed. Non playing guests are free to accompany guests but must be aware of and adhere to golf etiquette.
